Global sustainability goals

The company´s sustainability efforts are based on the UN Global Compact and the need for long-term value creation and responsibility for economic, enviromental, and social development. 

The UN Global Compact was established in Davos with the purpose of creating international principles for human rights, labor issues, the enviroment, and anti-corruption aimed at companies. In 2015, the world´s leaders adopted Agenda 2030 with its 17 ambitious and universal Sustainable Development Goals, designed to promote social, economic, and enviromental sustainability and to be achieved by the year 2030 in all countries of the world.

NP3 has identified nine of the UN´s Global Goals, included in Agenda 2030, where the company believes it has the greatest potential to make an impact (see image below). In the process of developing the company´s focus areas. By integrating these goals into our operations, we as a company address all three dimensions of sustainable development established in the Global Goals: Economic, enviromental, and social sustainability. 

About the Science Based Target Initiative

The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) is a corporate climate action organization that enables companies and financial institutions worldwide to play their part in tackling the climate crisis. SBTi develops standards, tools, and guidance that allow companies to set greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets in line with what is needed to keep global warming below catastrophic levels and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. 

SBTi is incorporated as a charitable organization, with a subsidiary that will host our target validation service. Our partners are CDP, United Nations Global Compact, the We Mean Business Coalition, World Resources Institute (WRI) and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
